My studies focus on the interactions between climate, fire and vegetation dynamics. During my international joined PhD (Canada-France; 2013-2016), the largest piece of my work was to define and explain periods of vegetation shifts using climate data (from General Circulation Models) and charcoal and pollen grains sequestered in lacustrine sediments.
At present-day (2017-2018), I work to calibrate the Canadian Fire Weather Index (FWI) in boreal forest of Eurasia and understand the consequences of the climate changes on the different fire regimes across boreal forests.
