Research dealing with variation and evolution of phenotypes, especially complex morphological structures (skull, mandible, teeth) in natural populations of mice (genus Mus) : Morphometric analyses and underlying mechanisms regarding (1) modularity and developmental and evolutionary integration , (2) canalization and developmental stability, (3) plasticity, selection, hybridization, etc..

Evolutionary mechanisms in genus Mus : speciation, différenciation and dispersion processes.

Head of the Institute of Evolutionary Sciences in Montpellier (France)
Member of Scientific Council of the Institute of Ecology and Environment (INEE, CNRS)
