RESEARCH

1. Molecular phylogeny and Systematics — (i) Mammals: Rodents (Echimyids, Arvicolines et Murines), Primates, Chiropterans, Cetartiodactyls (Bovids and Cervids), Xenarthrans, and (ii) Tunicates (= Urochordates): Aplousobranchians, Phlebobranchians, Thaliaceans, Stolidobranchians, and Appendicularians.

2. Phylogenetic inference, Phylogenomics, and BioinformaticsSupermatrices and supertrees.

3. Molecular dating — Evolutionary rates and relaxed molecular clocks.

4. Comparative mitochondrial and nuclear genomics — Molecular evolution of orthologues (see the OrthoMaM and OrthoTune databases), identification and characterization of phylogenetic markers, and dynamics of nucleotide and amino acid compositions and indels (insertions / deletions).

TOOLS

  • MACSE — An alignment program of coding sequences, aware of errors and frameshifts.
  • OrthoMaM — A database of orthologous exons, CDS, and phylogenetic trees for mammals.
  • PhySIC_IST — A non-plenary inference of supertrees, with removal of taxa whose position greatly differs among source trees or for which insufficient information is provided.
  • SuperTriplets — A supertree approach to phylogenomics based on triplets. It infers supertrees with branch support values.
  • UNIX-BASH — A web memento recapitulating a number of useful BASH commands for bio-informatics.
