Mots clés parameterized complexity supertree and network methods for phylogenetics combinatorics and bioinformatics

After a Master’s Degree in Mathematical Engineering at the University of Rome 2, I oriented my research towards bioinformatics with an internship at LBBE (5558 UMR CNRS and the Université Claude Bernard Lyon I). I obtained my PhD in computer science at the University of Montpellier in 2009. After a postdoctoral fellowship of 23 months at the University of Tübingen, I joined the Institute of Evolutionary Sciences in Montpellier (ISE-M) as researcher at CNRS in October 2011. Within this UMR (CNRS-UM2-IRD), I continue my research on parameterised complexity and combinatorial aspects of bioinformatics, inspired by concrete biological problems that are faced by my colleagues at the “Molecular Phylogeny and Evolution” team of ISE-M. Specifically, my research focuses on the development of methods to reconstruct super-trees and phylogenetic networks.
